Looking for a two bedroom apartment

My partner and I and our two well-trained cats are looking for an unfurnished two bedroom apartment (or a large one bedroom with more than one common area) in Swarthmore. Our move date is flexible, but we’d like to move by August 1 at the latest, and we’re happy to sign a one-year lease. We’re in our mid-30s and we’re quiet, organized, reliable people. Very happy to answer any questions by email.

We’re looking for the following:
Allows cats
One parking spot (doesn’t have to be covered or indoors)
Dishwasher
Washing machine in building
Ideally a porch and/or nice yard
Wood floors strongly preferred

Drop-off for Swimming Lessons 4-5 Weekdays

I am looking for someone to take my daughter to swimming lessons for the next four weeks. The lessons are at Widener University and they take place on M/T/W/Th at 4:30pm. So the task would be to pick her up from Swarthmore-Rutledge School at about 4 and drive her to Widener’s pool for 4:30. We can pick her up after the end of the lesson, so you would be free to come back to Swarthmore right after drop-off. So essentially it’s a one-hour job, for which you’d be paid $25. If you can only do some days but not others, that’s fine too – any help is better than no help! Please get in touch asap, since the lessons start on Monday 13th.

Dog Walking $$ 2-3 blocks from campus

Hi! We have a wonderful 8 year old golden retriever and we’re looking for a few dog lovers who are interested in an occasional walk for extra cash, starting in mid-May. We live about 2-3 blocks from campus.

My wife and I both work in healthcare and our schedules are all over the place so there is no regular walk schedule, but we know our needs at least a few weeks in advance (with an occasional last minute ask). We need about 5-15 walks a month, with a range of times but mostly morning and early afternoon.

Walks are usually abouut 20 min of actual walking time (she has arthritis so we try to limit it to that) . You would be more than welcome to study/watch TV at our house before/during/after anytime with a dog likely cuddled next to you…sometimes a toddler/nanny will be around as well but we would let you know.

We are looking for a few people to have on our short list since we know your schedules vary. We do need walks during the summer too so if you are around that is a major plus, but please still contact us even if you aren’t and we can keep you on the list.

Happy to answer any questions. Thank you for considering!

Looking for occasional morning childcare in Swarthmore

Hi! We’re looking for an early bird who is interested in an occasional gig for extra cash. We are moving from Philly to Swarthmore (a few blocks from campus) this May and have a 21ish month son Freddy who will need occasional morning care!

We have a wonderful full time nanny who lives in the city and is planning to continue to work with our family via train commute, but the train schedule would not allow her to get to us early enough for some of our earliest days. We both work in healthcare and our schedules are all over the place (changing day-to-day and week-to-week), but on days we both have a shift our house might empty out as early as 630 (more rare) or 7AM. We could envision the commitment being anywhere from 2-3 hours depending on your preference/logistics. It would not be on a regular schedule (since our schedules are irregular) but we would know the dates we’d need someone at least a month in advance. Looking back at the last few months we would have needed someone around 3-6 mornings per month, though it would of course vary.

Of note: this spring/summer you’d hand off to our awesome nanny, and starting in Fall we’d probably have you take him to nursery school (starts at 9:15, 2 min drive or pretty 20 min walk through campus).

If things are working out, we’d definitely hit you up for date night babysitting/other occasional childcare needs if that’s of interest, though there’d be no pressure.

We know this sounds a little crazy (and also realize many people who are interested may not be on campus this summer) but figured it didn’t hurt to ask! Happy to answer any questions. Thank you for considering!
